If you're in the US, I hope recovering from "Springing Forward", and that the loss of an hour hasn't disrupted your podcast listening.
Â
The time change got to me this year; I've been sleepy and cranky for two days. I hope it wears off soon!
Â
In other news (and it IS news!): I've got a list of new podcast recommendations for you, but they AREN'T on the Podcast Maniac site.
Â
I'm very excited to share with you that I've started a new website all about how to switch from plastic items to more eco-friendly materials!
Â
The website is called Switch From Plastic, and it was born out of my passion to stop producing so much plastic waste.
Â
If this topic interests you, I can help you learn how to make small changes to reduce your plastic footprint. To get started, you can check out this list of 7 eco-friendly podcast
episodes, curated by me, over on the new site.
Â
It would mean the world to me if you would share this new website (and the eco-friendly podcasts) with your friends and family, or on social media. If you've ever been passionate about making a difference, you know how great it feels when people spread the word.
Â
Thanks for letting me share that with you, and for your support. Now, onto more podcast stuff!Â

Podcast Review: Uncover Season 6 - Satanic Panic
Â
A couple of weeks ago, I binged six episodes of the latest season of the Uncover podcast. The season, titled Satanic Panic, is AWESOME. Read my review for more details.

1. Another podcast is being made into a TV series. This time it's the Watergate season of Slow Burn podcast. The show
will be called Gaslit, and Julia Roberts and Sean Penn have been cast.
Â
2. Wondery dropped its latest true crime series, titled The Dating Game Killer. The cover art creeps me out. The network also dropped a trailer for another new show this week: Even The Rich is about dynasties and the drama that comes with them (think: the Kardashians, the Murdochs, and more).
Â
3. One of the original Real House Wives has just launched a new podcast. Whoop It Up with Vicki (as in, Vicki Gunvalson) has dropped two episodes. The podcast will set the record straight about her time on the TV show, and include interviews with A-list guests.

Bookable
Â
In the last newsletter, I mentioned that this podcast was about to launch. It dropped two episodes, and while it's not exactly how I thought, it's a great listen!
Â
Bookable isn't a book recommendation podcast. It's an interview with an author about a book they've written, where the story comes from, and how it was for them to write it. If you've ever listened to the But That's Another Story podcast, it's a little like that. It's also nice and short (under 25 minutes).

One in Four
Â
This podcast releases one new episode every month, and there are currently 10 episodes for you to listen to. The show has conversations with individuals involved in the re-entry process of people who have been incarcerated.
Â
The title of the show refers to the statistic that one in four Americans has a criminal record, which means that society needs to support efforts to assist formerly-incarcerated people with methods to reintegrate them into society (e.g. hiring them, giving them access to housing, etc.).

My First Day Podcast
Â
This podcast from KPBS in San Diego is back after over a year. Each short episodes (under 20 minutes) features a different person who has moved to San Diego from elsewhere (if ya didn't know, that's basically EVERYONE in San Diego, which is what makes it interesting).
Â
I listened to the latest episode and I'm intrigued to go through the backlog from 2018.
