Hey New Year, Podcast Friend!
|
I hope that you've had a great holiday season/last few weeks. I stayed busy with work, traveling to spend the holidays with family, and (now) recovering from the cold I caught while traveling.
Â
I also finished the second half of the Best Podcasts of 2019 post! That's right: I selected 7 more podcasts that blew me away in 2019, and that I really, REALLY want you to check
out.
Â
Looking ahead to 2020, I'll continue sharing my favorite new listens, themed podcast articles (I'm working on one about political history podcasts I'm LOVING right now), and more VIDEOS (because sometimes I just need to gush about a show!)
Â
I'm also planning to publish some tips and resources for beginner- and intermediate- level podcasters. If you or a friend have been thinking about starting a podcast (or you already have one, and you want some tips on how to improve/get more listeners), you can sign up to be notified when the new podcasting articles are live.

Why It Matters
Â
I'm loving this new show by the Council on Foreign Relations. It breaks down complex foreign relations issues that affect our every day lives. The episodes are primers on each topic/title; just enough to help you understand the problem (or that there even IS a problem).
Â
I recommend trying episode 2, China Doesn't Want Your Trash.

Without Fail - Episode with Earlonne Woods
Â
If you've been enjoying the Office Ladies podcast with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, you'll want to check out their interview on In Bed with Nick & Megan.
Â
Some of the In Bed episodes are with actors I'm not familiar with (and some are longer than my preference), but this episode is super fun. I'm a fan of Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, and it's really interesting to hear the chatter between four actors who starred in NBC sitcoms over the course of different decades.Â

The Party in My Plants Podcast
Â
Back in December, my husband and I watched the super-hyped documentary, The Game Changers (you can find it on Netflix). The concept of a plant-based diet wasn't new or wacky to us, but also wasn't something we'd committing to trying.
Â
After watching the documentary, we went almost 2 weeks plant-based (there was a bit of a failure at Christmas, but we're back on track). That led to me searching out podcasts about plant-based lifestyles, and I found this one.
Â
If you've watched The Game Changers, I think episode 144 of Party in My Plants is the best episode to start with. If you're thinking about going plant-based in 2020, and you also exercise regularly (or are planning to), this episodes is full of helpful information.

In 2019, I got SUPER into productivity, goal setting, and even started meal planning a little! I started listening to more productivity-focused podcasts, and even updated an older post to recommend some of my new favorite shows.
Â
That's why I'm promoting the Ultimate Productivity Bundle for the next few days. The bundle is a collection of digital printables, e-books, e-courses, and membership sites, all focused on helping you
organize, plan, and be more productive in 2020.
Â
There are over 73 products in the Ultimate Productivity Bundle, so there's something for everyone, and every lifestyle. If you struggle with creating habits, finding time to do basic stuff like cleaning the house, or you have big goals for the New Year but no plan to make them happen, you have to check out this bundle.
Â
The bundle is only $47 (although it's valued at over $2,000!) and it's only available through Wednesday January 8th @ 11:59pm ET. If you order before midnight on Friday, January 3rd, you'll receive a bonus:
a free e-course for setting smarter goals!
