Happy Halloween! If you're like me and you don't have kids to take trick-or-treating tonight, put on a creepy podcast while you give out candy! It's easy to hit pause and pick back up again once the little goblins go away.

Whatever you choose to listen to today, I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween.

Video Podcast Review: Office Ladies Podcast
Â
As mentioned in the last newsletter, I've started making videos! This new experiment is partly productivity-related (it's quicker to get recommendations out into the world), but is also a much truer representation of how I want to share podcasts with y'all!
Â
There are currently two posts on the blog that feature videos, and a third video is hanging out on my new YouTube channel. Click the links to watch the podcast review about the new Office Ladies podcast.

Updated Blog Post: Productivity Podcasts to Help You Get Things Done
Â
Last week, I updated an old blog post about productivity podcasts by adding 3 new podcast recommendations. Listening to podcasts about how to be more productive has sincerely helped me to make the most of my time over the last few
years.
Â
As we head into the crazy busy holiday season, there's no better time to check out these shows with very practical advice on how to get stuff done with the time you have.
Â
Â
|
1. CBC Podcasts has launched a new podcast for kids, with a twist. Read about it here
(also, the cover art is cute as heck).
Â
2. If Dr. Death wasn't enough to keep you out of Texas, Wondery's new short series Bad
Batch (with the same host) might do the trick.
Â
3. The Travel Genius podcast is coming back for Season 2 soon! The first season was full of cool travel hacks, tips, and stories. Find out more about this show by checking out this podcast
review.

Finding Van Gogh (English Version)
Â
I am not an art aficionado, and I would probably fail a course on art history. But I'm loving this podcast about one of Van Gogh's most famous paintings and the story behind it.
Â
This podcast was first recorded in German, but has been re-recorded in English. It's easy to understand and follow, and it's super interesting.

Get Rich Nick
Â
If you needed some cash like, RIGHTNOW, what could you do? That's the concept of Get Rich Nick. Each episode is dedicated to the ins and outs of a different get rich quick" task.
Â
I loved the title and concept of this show when I first heard it, but I was hesitant to listen. The show is hosted by two male comedians who are good friends, and that usually results in an overload of "bro humor".
Â
After listening to two episodes, I've been proven wrong and have even subscribed.

Short Wave
Â
This is a new short daily podcast from NPR that has a science slant. They talk about new discoveries that you've probably only read headlines about, and the science behind all sorts of things.
Â
If you like Planet Money, Short Wave is a good show to try. Episodes are only about 10 minutes.
